Wip Wednesday Crochet Along – The Molly Cabled Blanket

Welcome to another beautiful crochet along for the Molly Cabled Blanket, it’s our seventh Wip Wednesday Crochet Along to date! For the friends who haven’t joined us yet, I have an exciting invitation to extend to you! Every Wednesday for roughly the last 3 years, I’ve done a live video chat over on Facebook at 830pm est. We call it Wip Wednesday Live, and there’s a Facebook group to go along with it where everyone posts their current works in progress.

Then, something really crazy happened, and Facebook invited us into their new Stars Program to monetize the lives for the creator, whaaaaat. I’ve been doing these lives for so long, over 150 of them in total and the new invitation to monetize has been such an amazing joy! So now we have MORE prizes, and for the first time, a dedicated free crochet along for the viewers. And it’s all because this awesome community comes together 🥰🥰🥰. Join us Wednesday on the CoCo Crochet Lee Facebook Page at 830pm est to begin this beautiful beginner-friendly hat pattern! Instructions, tutorials, and community love are all involved, and I’m beyond excited ❤🥰.

Here are the details!

Welcome to our seventh Wip Wednesday Crochet Along!

I’m so excited to be hosting this cal with everyone during our Lives for Wip Wednesday on the CoCo Crochet Lee Facebook Page

Crochet your first cabled blanket, the one is called The Molly Cabled Blanket, filled with amazing textured stitches! This blanket features post stitches, the Diamond Stitch, as well as an 18-stitch centerpiece cable that is sure to delight!

For the Molly Cabled Blanket crochet-along, we will be learning the structure of a cabled blanket by breaking it up into 3 parts in the form of 3 ear warmers featuring the cables included! 1. Hi! Just so you know, on the row 2 instructions for the blanket, you’ve missed the second to last set of ‘fphdc around next 4 sts’, so the stitch count for that row is only 118. Looks beautiful though and I can’t wait to complete it 🙂

  2. Hello!
I love the molly cable pattern so much. I would love to make this into a queen size blanket. Any recommendations on how to do that?

    1. Hey there! I don’t have any modification instructions for this pattern, but a queen size sounds lovely!

    1. Hey there!! While the blanket pattern instructions will be available beginning on November 24th, we will be learning how to make the cables by crocheting 3 different earwarmer patterns to start. So the blanket tutorials etc don’t technically begin until further into the cal. If you want to, you are welcome to start the blanket on your own!
