Mark your calendars for May 5, 2026! I am thrilled to show off an upcoming book whose release is just around the corner! Video Game Amigurumi was such a fun project to work on, especially when I had my whole family looking forward to seeing the designs as I worked on them! It was definitely a perk having a whole household of gamers to geek out with. Getting to include some more niche references to games I have enjoyed, along with the more well-known characters (like one Freddy Fazbear), made for an overall entertaining project from start to finish. Seeing all the characters all together truly reads as a Super Smash Bros crossover event, although I fear some of these projects may have the odds stacked against them. Between Ryu and a Pikmin, there may be a slight strength discrepancy.

The projects for Video Game Amigurumi would not have been possible without Lion Brand’s Basic Stitch yarn and Furl’s Odyssey II hooks, both of which allowed me to speedrun through all 21 projects with extra lives to spare!
