This is the second year that I’ve made a Valentine friend, you can find the Valentine Kitty Pattern for free on the blog as well! Find the Kitty here >> https://www.cococrochetlee.com/post/valentine-kitty-pillow-a-free-crochet-pattern/

Isn’t she cute?

Before you get started, there are a few things that you should know when crocheting this sweet chonk!

Due to the nature of the increases in the Body portion of the pattern, the 2 main colours simingly spiral, or twist at either end. While this doesn’t matter at the Head because it gets completely covered, there is a bit of a colour twist at the Tail end of her Body. That’s just the way she is, we still love her!

Another thing to keep in mind is while crocheting her head, it will seem to buckle a bit, but this will work itself out when you go to stuff. Stuff her head firmly!

Let’s talk a little bit about the supplies I used for the Valentine Puppy before you begin!

Lion Brand Yarn has released a new blanket yarn called ‘I Wanna Make a Blankie’ and it is so pretty! I used two colours for this pupper, Iron, and Snow. There are several other colours that you can use to sub-in for these two. Keep in mind that this yarn is super bulky if you are going with a completely different yarn choice!

    1. Hey there!
You make the magic ring with white, sc 3 with white in the ring, and sc 3 with black in the ring. You’ll continue to alternate between white and black as the body progresses.
With A, and 6.5mm hook, make a magic loop.
      Round 1: Ch 1, 3 sc with A, 3 sc with B in ring–6 sts.
