Lion Brand Jeans Colors
Intermediate
Materials: Lion Brand Jeans (246yds/100g): 5(5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins Khaki (A), 1 skein Corduroy (B).
US Size G/6 (4mm) crochet hook, scissors, st markers.
Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, 1x, 2x, 3x.
Gauge: 18 sc x 18 rows = 4”
Finished Sweater Measurements: length = 30”, width = 21( 25, 29, 33, 37, 41)”.
Pattern Notes: 1. When completing treble sts, push posts to RS of fabric after completing adjacent st.
Pattern:
Panel (make 2)
With A, ch 203.
Row 1 (WS): Dc in 4th ch from hook (starting ch 3 counts as dc here and throughout), dc in each ch across, turn–201 sts.
Row 2 (RS): Ch ch 4 (counts as dc, ch1), *skip next st, dc in next, ch 1; repeat from * across to last, dc in last, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in each st and ch across, turn.
Row 4: Change to B. Ch 1 (does not count as a st here and throughout), *sc, tr in next; repeat from * across to last, sc in last, turn.
Row 5: Change to A. Ch 3, dc in each st across, turn.
Row 6: Repeat Row 2.
Row 7: Ch 3, dc in each st across, turn.
Row 8: Ch 4 (counts as dtr here and throughout), dtr in each st across, turn.
Rows 9-15 (22, 29, 36, 43, 50): Repeat Rows 1-8.
Rows 16 (23, 30, 37, 44, 51)- 22(29, 36, 43, 50, 57): Repeat Rows 1-7.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Pockets
With A, Make 4,
Ch 21.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across, turn–20 sts.
Rows 2-30: Ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc in each st across, turn.
Fasten off weave in ends.
Placing 2 pockets together, join to top right hand corner through both thicknesses, sc evenly around side, bottom, and opposite side of pocket through both thicknesses, leaving top open. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Back Seam
Lay Panels side by RS facing, with both Foundation rows meeting down the center. Whip st seam together approximately 1 inch shy of halfway up the Panels. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Side Seams
With Back seam running down the middle-back of your cardi, fold other half of panels on top of Back with opening facing + RS facing you.
Seam from bottom to armpit by whip sts seam for 24 sts, 20 sts on one side of pocket opening, sew 35 (30, 30, 25, 25, 20) more sts leaving remaining seam open for arm holes. Sew remaining 20 sts of pocket to other side of Panel seam to secure the Pocket.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Finishing
Weave in any remaining ends, and block garment.
