Tolorraine Sweater – Free Easy Crochet Pattern

It’s here! The Tolorraine Sweater is my first new crochet pattern of 2021, and I am so in love with her! The Tolorraine was crocheted using Lion Brand Yarn Color Made Easy, which is a beautifully bouncy, bulky weight yarn. This sweater works up so fast!

Tolorraine Sweater - free crochet pattern - coco crochet lee - lion brand yarn

Color Made Easy is one of my favourite bulky weight yarns because although it has the thickness to crochet those big stitches, it isn’t heavy at all. It has a beautiful twist and bounce to it, that creates these beautifully defined stitches with lots of spring to them.

This ultra-textured sweater is perfect for a beginner who wants to dive into the world of yoke pullovers! With minimal shaping and no sewing it’s the perfect beginner garment.

  1. Regarding round 1 under split for sleeves.

Please helpe understand how to split for sleeves. I understand what to do but since you’re skipping ALOT of stitches do we fasten off and start a new each time we have to skip stitches?

  2. Hi. My mom is making this sweater. Do you have a one page pattern that you can send me? She isn’t web savvy and isn’t on Pinterest. Any help you can offer is appreciated. Thank you so much!

    1. Hello! The pattern is available as a printable pdf in my Ravelry and etsy shops. Links are at the top of this blog post.

  3. Hi!

I have a question about this part:

    Rounds 24-26: Cluster around.

Size XS and Small move to Split Sleeves.

    Size 4x and 5x ONLY

Round 27: *Cluster in next 4 sts, 2 Clusters in next st; repeat from * around–175 (175) sts.

    Rounds 27-29 (28-30): Cluster around.

Sizes Medium and Large move to Split Sleeves.

What does the medium pattern need? It says for 4x and 5x only so I’m confused where I go from there for the size medium. Thanks!

    1. Hey there! For size medium, move from 26 to 27-29 where you will just Cluster around. Then you move to the split sleeves.

  4. I am making a size small, so I started with a chain of 46. In round 14 the instructions say: *Cluster in next 2 sts, 2 Clusters in next st; repeat from * around–88 (88, 92, 96, 104, 116, 116, 116, 116) sts. However, if I were to go from 46 stitches to 92, I would need 2 clusters in EACH stitch. Therefore, should I follow the instructions and end up with 60 stitches or should I crochet 2 Clusters per stitch and end up with 92?

  5. I am not sure on some of the stitches, so I will have to google them, but I like the pictures that’s what drew me to the pattern.
