I am so excited to announce that I’ve teamed up with WeCrochet (the crochet offshoot of Knit Picks) as a Brand Ambassador! What does that mean for you? That means that WeCrochet is providing support so that I can bring you amazing free crochet patterns that you can enjoy!

The first step for me was to choose my first yarn to work with from the WeCrochet Site, www.crochet.com – and it was SO hard to choose! There are so many amazing choices, it was tough to settle on one and begin!

I went with the Upcycle Reserve Collection after reading about it on the site. These special, single batch skeins give yarn a second life, creating complex heathers and saving fibers that would have otherwise gone to waste. This 2-ply 100% wool yarn is bouncy with beautiful stitch definition and next-to-skin softness. We love it for rugged heirloom sweaters and cozy, chunky accessories. Each color is available for a limited time, so grab some while you can!

I’m a big fan of chunky yarn, and have used it to make The Valentine Puppy, The Valentine Kitty, and the Caitlin Headband patterns! It makes whipping up a quick gift super fast, which can be a life-saver!

  1. When I end the 2nd row I ended with a v stitch chain one skip one DC for last stitch. When I turn to start 3rd row I don’t have a CLUSTER. I have a v stitch. πŸ€” I’m confused. What did I do wrong.

  2. Wow! What a great looking baby blanket. I would like to try the comfort color hooks.. sometimes my finger joints hurt a bit after using the thin metal hooks. I’m ready to stop working and make that blanket!

  3. This is such an adorable baby blanket which I am looking forward to trying.
The wooden crochet hooks look very elegant and a nice size for travel.
    Thank you.

  4. Beautiful blanket! I love how the pink border pops! Personally, I would choose the Colorful Crochet Hooks, because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis I need the larger handles.

  5. I must agree with everyone else, in that the wooden hooks sound really amazing, however, I need something with a larger handle, so I would have to go with the coloured ones unless of course, the wooden one’s handles are around the same circumference. The pattern looks really nice too, I like the colours πŸ™‚
