The Ginny Blanket is made with lacy, intricate motifs joined together! Crochet the motifs in one colour, or change colours after Round 3 for the center flower to pop! This blanket is customizable, add motifs to make your blanket larger. Isn’t she cute?!
I named the Ginny Blanket for my brand new baby kitten, Ginny. Ginny is named after Ginny Weasley from the Harry Potter Books, so I like to think this blanket gives off some super cozy ”Weasley Vibes’. I can totally picture it hanging out on a thrifted couch in the Weasley home, or even picture Molly crocheting it up for herself!

The Yarn
I’ve used WeCrochet Billow Yarn before for my Billow Fair Throw, and I fell in love with this chunky cotton! Billow comes in 120 yard hanks that you need to unwind and turn into cakes in order to crochet with them. I use a yarn swift and a yarn ball winder in order to make the cakes, they are super handy! Here are some great ones:

The WeCrochet Website describes Billow:
“Billow is all about creature comforts: oversized cowls and wraps, lazy weekend pullovers, and cozy blankets that hug you back. Eight plies of super soft pima cotton create a thick and thin texture for a feel that is both rustic and modern all at once. A bulky weight yarn, Billow works up quickly while the luxuriously soft feel makes it the perfect treat for those with sensitive skin. With a contemporary and sophisticated palette that spans 24 stunning colors, Billowβs cloud-like softness is sure to tempt your hooks to cast on your next project right away.“
