Sl st (slip stitch)
Slst2tog (slip stitch 2 together)
BLO (back loop only)
Notes
Entire pattern is worked in BLO.
Chain 1 at beginning of row does not count as a st.
Loosely stitch all sl sts to achieve pattern.
Ch 1 in increase section counts as a st. On return row, treat it like a sl st.
To help keep track of your last st, use 2 stitch markers to mark the 1st st of each row so the last st is always visible.

Front Panel
Side:
Row 1 (RS): Ch 71 (81, 91, 101, 111, 121), sl st in 2nd ch from hook, st sl in each st across, turn–70 (80, 90, 100, 110, 120) sts.
Rows 2-7 (11, 15, 19, 23, 27): Ch 1, sl st (in BLO here and throughout) of each st across, turn.
Increase Section:
Row 8 (12, 16, 20, 24, 28): Ch 1, sl st in each st across, turn.
Row 9 (13, 17, 21, 25, 29): Ch 1, sl st to last, (ch 1, sl st) in last, turn–72 (82, 92, 102, 112, 122) sts.
Rows 10 (14, 18, 22, 26, 30)- 28 (32, 36, 40, 44, 48): Repeat Rows 8 (12, 16, 20, 24, 28) to 9 (13, 17, 21, 25, 29)–92 (102, 112, 122, 132, 142) sts.
Rows 29 (33, 37, 41, 45, 49)-32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52): Ch 1, sl st in each st, turn.
Decrease Section:
Row 33 (37, 41, 45, 49, 53): Ch 1, sl st across to last 4 sts, [slst2tog] x 2 over last 4 sts, turn–90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140) sts.
Row 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54): Ch 1, sl st in each st across, turn.
Rows 35 (39, 43, 47, 51, 55)-54 (58, 62, 66, 70, 74): Repeat Rows Row 33 (37, 41, 45, 49, 53)-Row 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54)–70 (80, 90, 110, 120, 130) sts.
Middle:
Rows 55 (59, 63, 67, 71, 75)-61 (65, 69, 73, 77, 81): Ch 1, sl st in each st across, turn.
Repeat Increase Section, Decrease Section, followed by Side.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Back Panel
Row 1 (RS): Ch 71 (81, 91, 101, 111, 121), sl st in 2nd ch from hook, st sl in each st across, turn–70 (80, 90, 100, 110, 120) sts.
Rows 2-6 (10, 14, 18, 22, 26): Ch 1, sl st (in BLO here and throughout) of each st across, turn.
Row 7 (11, 15, 19, 23, 27): Ch 1, sl st in each st across, ch 23 (33, 43, 53, 63, 73), turn–93 (103, 113, 123, 133, 143) sts.
Row 8 (12, 16, 20, 24, 28): Ch 1, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in each ch and sl st across, turn–92 (102, 112, 122, 132, 142) sts.
Repeat Row 8 until Back Panel is as wide as Front Panel minus final Side portion, ending on an even numbered Row.
Decrease: Ch 1, sl st 70 (80, 90, 100, 110, 120) sts, turn.
Side: Repeat Rows 2-6 (10, 14, 18, 22, 26).
Final Row: Repeat Row 2.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Ties
Fasten on to Top Left Peek of Front Panel. Ch 41, sl st in BLO in 2nd ch from hook, and in each ch. Sl st in same st as join. Fasten off, weave in ends. Repeat on Top Right Peek of Front Panel, and at each Top Corner of Back Panel.
Seaming
With WS facing, sl st side seams. Turn garment right-side out. Weave in any remaining ends.
